What is the role?

As an ESH Expert in our dynamic team, you will be pivotal in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within our state-of-the-art Space Center. This role is critical in establishing and enforcing health and safety standards, conducting training sessions, and implementing preventative measures to mitigate risks associated with our operations.

Some of your daily tasks will include: 

  • Health and Safety Requirements:

    • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures tailored to EnduroSat operations
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
    • Establish clear safety protocols for handling sensitive space technologies and equipment
  • Risk Prevention and Management:

    • Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments within the EnduroSat environment
    • Recommend and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventative actions to mitigate identified risks
    • Regularly review and update risk management practices to adapt to the evolving needs of our Space Center
  • Training and Discipline:

    • Design and deliver health and safety training programs for all personnel, ensuring all team members are well-informed and compliant with safety practices
    • Foster a culture of safety and discipline, ensuring that all employees adhere to established safety protocols
    • Lead regular safety drills and ensure all employees are prepared for emergencies
  • Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with health and safety standards
    • Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, incidents, and recommendations for improvement
    • Act as the primary point of contact for any health and safety concerns or incidents, managing the response and resolution process

What do we look for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a health and safety role, preferably in a high-tech or laboratory environment
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in the context of space or high-tech laboratories
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and train others effectively
  • Experience in risk assessment and management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Certification in health and safety is highly desirable
