What is the role?
As an Automation Test Engineer for our Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions for our satellite systems and subsystems. Your primary focus will be to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our testing processes through automation, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for satellite systems and subsystems
- Collaborate with the AIT team to identify areas where automation can improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Design and implement automated test plans and cases based on system requirements and specifications
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects or issues to development teams
- Work closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Document automated testing processes, tools, and results for future reference and compliance
What do you need?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Space Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of one year of experience in automation testing, preferably in the space sector or a related industry
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand)
- Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., CANbus, Modbus, Ethernet, RS232, RS485)
- Experience working with measurement equipment (power supply, DC loads, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
