What is the role?

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will administer and evolve our hybrid infrastructure built around virtualization and physical servers. You will standardize and automate deployments, ensure high availability, security, and recoverability, build observability, and lead incident response and root-cause analysis.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• Hybrid infrastructure management: administer VMware vCenter, manage Linux and Windows servers, create and maintain standardized VM templates, perform regular updates, maintenance, and security hardening
• Backup and disaster recovery: design, implement, and operate a comprehensive backup and offsite DR strategy; regularly test and document recovery procedures in cooperation with Information Security team
• Automation and scripting: develop and maintain automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to reduce manual work, apply Infrastructure as Code principles for system configuration and management
• Identity and access management: integrate and manage systems with Entra ID (Azure AD) for centralized, secure access control
• Networking and security: manage office networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls) and enforce security best practices across systems and networks
• Monitoring and incident response: implement and manage monitoring and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), lead incident response, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Documentation and collaboration: maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation, participate in change management and share your knowledge with the team

What do we look for?

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
• Strong experience with VMware vCenter and administering both Linux and Windows Server environments
• Demonstrable expertise in designing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) integration and management
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and office network operations
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Advantage for experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible, familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and/or relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Linux+, Network+)
