Lead GNC Engineer
About Us
We are EnduroSat, a fast-growing space scale-up at the forefront of satellite innovation. Specializing in software-flexible satellites for commercial, governmental, and scientific missions, we aim to make space universally accessible through streamlined space services.
What is the Role?
As the Lead GNC Engineer at EnduroSat, you will drive the design, development, and optimization of the guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems across our spacecraft missions. This role is a blend of hands-on technical work and leadership, where you will guide the GNC team to deliver high-quality, mission-critical solutions. We seek someone with both deep technical expertise and the capability to lead projects and mentor a high-performing team.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
Technical Leadership & Project Management
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and testing of GNC algorithms for satellite missions.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for the GNC team, ensuring alignment with mission goals and organizational standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and guide best practices in GNC systems development.
System Design and Development
- Develop and refine algorithms for spacecraft attitude determination and control systems (ADCS).
- Conduct simulations, including Monte Carlo and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), to validate GNC systems under diverse mission scenarios.
- Integrate GNC solutions with other satellite systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system-wide compatibility.
Testing and Optimization
- Oversee and participate in rigorous testing processes to validate GNC functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Analyze simulation and testing results to fine-tune GNC algorithms for optimal performance across various mission scenarios.
- Troubleshoot and resolve GNC issues, providing expert technical guidance throughout the development and operational phases.
Industry Collaboration and Innovation
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to adopt the latest GNC technologies and methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement in GNC practices by implementing cutting-edge approaches and tools within the team.
