What is the role?
As a Mission Support Engineer at EnduroSat, you will be heavily involved in the successful onboarding and guidance of our customers onto SpaceOps and all related software for Mission Operations. You will be their primary technical guide, ensuring a smooth integration and setup process, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues related to APIs, networking, and containerization, and ensuring their operations teams are unblocked once in orbit. You will serve as the main point of contact, managing complex technical cases and collaborating closely with our software development, mission operations, and cloud infrastructure teams to resolve integration challenges or clarify procedures and scripts for exceptional customer experience.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Guiding customers through the onboarding phase for the SpaceOps, SpaceComms and other EnduroSat software tools, from initial setup to full operational capability
- Providing expert-level multi-channel support to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to REST APIs, Web sockets, Docker containers, and general networking
- Collaborating with the SpaceOps development and Mission Operations teams to escalate and resolve software bugs, acting as the voice of the customer
- Developing and maintaining high-quality tutorials, and knowledge base articles using Markdown and/or LaTeX to streamline the customer onboarding experience
- Creating and maintaining Python scripts to automate support tasks, test API endpoints, and assist customers with their own software integrations
- Reporting inaccuracies and proactively suggesting improvements to enhance clarity and usability in all customer-facing documentation
- Aggregating any in-orbit anomaly information and providing it to the Mission Operations team for proper review and resolution
- Assist the members of the satellite systems support team during periods of increased workload
What do we look for?

- Attention to detail, desire to learn new skills and systems, ability to multitask and prioritize
- A solid grasp of basic engineering and electronics fundamentals, a strong foundation in software and networking, and an aptitude for troubleshooting complex, multi-layered technical problems
- Strong programming skills in Python, particularly with OOP principles and common data structures
- Experience with technical writing and documentation using LaTeX and Markdown
How to Stand Out:
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Spacecraft operations experience
- Experience with Postman, cURL
- Familiarity with common IDEs (e.g., VS Code, PyCharm) and version control systems like Git
- Experience with Zendesk Suite or similar ticketing systems
- Familiarity with basic RF terminology and concepts
