What is the role?

As a Senior Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) Engineer within our Space Services division, you will have a pivotal role and serve as the primary AOCS specialist in communications with our customers.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Engage External Stakeholders: Serve as EnduroSat's AOCS technical representative for our Space Services missions, leading discussions and resolving complex AOCS matters with relevant experts from customers and space agencies
  • Multi-Project Engagement: Work across a portfolio of projects at various stages of development, collaborating with internal engineering teams and external customer stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Leading AOCS Analysis & Simulation: Drive and perform advanced AOCS analysis and simulations to ensure optimal system performance and mission success for EnduroSat's missions
  • Providing Expert Support: Offer critical AOCS expertise throughout the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phases and during satellite commissioning, ensuring seamless transition to operational status
  • Scaling AOCS Capabilities: Support the maturation and scaling of our AOCS activities, including the evolution from initial design concepts to robust, flight-proven operational systems

What do we look for?

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Automatic Control, Robotics, Applied Physics, or a similar technical field
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with the AOCS of small satellites
  • Strong knowledge of modeling, analysis, and tool development in languages like C# or Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to foster a positive, collaborative team environment and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

How to Stand Out:

  • Experience in managing critical suppliers and interfacing directly with clients on technical requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of the AOCS avionics COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) market
  • A track record of successful contributions to New Space projects
  • Additional expertise in other space engineering domains (e.g., software engineering, hardware design, propulsion systems)
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering AOCS solutions that have operated in orbit
