End-to-End Systems Engineer
We’re looking for systems engineers to support the design and building of our latest generation of space systems, including satellites, ground segments, and user devices. We are growing a team in Luxembourg and are looking for both senior (10 years of experience) and junior engineers who cover the skills specified below.
You are going to coordinate the work of software and hardware engineers by defining and decomposing requirements, communicating with end users and various stakeholders, and ensuring the project's direction throughout its lifecycle.
About the role
You will be responsible for the definition of space end-to-end systems from the establishment of the user requirements with our stakeholders through to the detailed design. This will involve the generation and management of the requirements, the elaboration of the architecture, and aspects such as the system validation and operations plans. You will be interacting with the various engineering disciplines in EnduroSat in order to optimize the performance of the system by leveraging our various space expertise.
Essential Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in aerospace engineering, electronics, computer science, wireless communications, or similar fields
- Experience in the design of space systems from proposal stage through to detailed design.
- Experience in systems-of-systems design and system performance modeling, with high-level requirements decomposition into well-defined system and subsystem requirements.
- Experience in End-to-End validation of space systems including both space and ground components.
- Knowledge of satellite communications (Link budgets, protocols, commercial products)
- Professional requirements writing experience
Requirements Considered an Advantage
- Previous experience in project execution applying ECSS standards
- System modeling and simulation tools such as Matlab, Simulink and Python
- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures
- Knowledge of security architectures and standards applicable to space systems.
- Knowledge of satellite onboard processing and image processing and the potential use of AI algorithms for edge computing.
