What is the role?

As a Senior Payroll Expert you will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll while handling key HR admin documentation and communications with employees, authorities, and internal partners.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• End-to-end monthly payroll for Bulgaria, statutory submissions (NSSI/NOI, NAP/NRA, NSI), year-end activities
• Leave administration: process medical statements (sick, maternity/paternity), submit to NSSI, track reimbursements
• Issue employment certificates and employer confirmations
• Prepare documents for nursery applications and liaise with municipal authorities
• Draft/administer employment contracts and amendments, maintain HRIS/personnel files
• Prepare internal payroll/HR admin reports, support internal/external audits, ensure ICFR/GDPR compliance
• Improve SOPs and tools, maintain clear communication with HR, Finance, providers, and authorities

What do we look for?

• Degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 4+ years Bulgarian payroll experience and strong knowledge of labor, tax, and social-security laws
• Hands-on with: medical statements & NSSI submissions, employer certificates, contracts , etc.
• Proficient with payroll software/HRIS
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and on-time delivery
• A proactive attitude and ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with teams
