Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

What is the role: 

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will manage and maintain our entire IT infrastructure in cooperation with our IT team. Your expertise in networking, operating systems, backup solutions, monitoring tools, and cloud platforms will be fundamental in driving our infrastructure operations forward and expanding them. 

Some of your daily tasks will include: 

• Manage and maintain the overall IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and virtualization environments;
• Implement and support MikroTik routers and networking devices; 
• Administer and support Linux, Windows, and macOS systems, ensuring optimal performance and security;
• Oversee the virtualization environments, including Proxmox, ESXi and vSphere;
• Maintain and improve the backup and disaster recovery solutions;
• Set up and maintain monitoring systems using Grafana or similar tools to ensure system health and performance;
• Collaborate closely with the IT and development teams to maintain and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines;
• Manage and support Autopilot/Intune/Jamf for system deployment and management;
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including vulnerability assessments and patch management.

What do we look for?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a System Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role. 
• Proficiency in MikroTik router configuration and networking protocols 
• Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu), Windows Server, and macOS 
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vSphere) or Proxmox 
• Hands-on experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Backup Exec) 
• Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and/or Exchange Online 
• Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and/or ELK stack 
• Considered as an Advantage: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git), scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation.
